I grew up in Indonesia. At 20, I moved to Australia with nothing lined up. I went into kitchens because it was the work I could get. I stayed because I was good at it, and over several years I worked my way up to Head Chef at a well-known Sydney restaurant.

In a kitchen, you learn one thing fast: the difference between good and exceptional is almost never the recipe. It's the standard you hold yourself to when nobody is watching. That's the only way I know how to work.

WHY THE BRAND EXISTS

I didn't start this brand to fill a gap in the market. I started it because I was selfish.

I'm 168 cm. The clothes I wanted never fit me the way I wanted them to — not in proportion, not in weight, not in how they sat. I looked at what was out there and decided it was easier to make something myself than to keep compromising.

So I did. And it worked. That selfishness is the reason this brand exists, and it's the reason the clothes are made the way they are.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT

People started noticing what I was wearing. A compliment from a stranger became a conversation, and that conversation turned into someone who's now part of this brand. No introduction, no plan, just clothes, and then a connection.

"Your clothes speak before you do. They handle the introduction — you only do the rest."

That's what LEBĖL is built on. Not the clothes alone, but what happens because of them. The conversation that starts across a room. The person you meet at a dinner, a pop-up, a show, who says something about what you're wearing and suddenly you're talking about where you're from, what you're building, what you're after.

It happened to me without trying. It can happen to you.

Who doesn't want to look good, and feel connected? I did. :)

Every piece is made in a single run and never restocked. Things made with intention shouldn't be mass produced.
